Visitation to Las Vegas fell 3 percent in 2009, from 37.5 million in 2008 to just under 36.4 million, according to new information released by the Las Vegas Convention and Visitors Authority.
On the plus side, visitor volume increased in each of the last four months of the year, ending 15 consecutive months of declines and leading some observers to suggest that tourism may be on the rebound.
